Community members gathered at the Multnomah County Office to deliver their own spin on holiday classics in order to demand a halt on foreclosures. The carolers also delivered holiday cards with pictures of empty homes to the commissioners and the Sheriff.
The foreclosure process is stacked against homeowners who often face foreclosure after job loss or healthcare issues. Meanwhile the banks are finding more ways to streamline the foreclosure process and raking in record profits.
